Mary is a Southern California native being born and raised in Hollywood. I
did some dancing and acting with a professional Shakespeare workshop. I
left the "confines" of Hollywood at the tender age of 22, moving all
the way to the San Fernando Valley.
I met my husband Jim, in 1971. We dated and were
married in 1976. We lived in Santa Barbara, CA for four years then moved
to Salt Lake City, Utah. Six years later in March of 1985 we moved to
paradise, San Diego where we hope to spend the rest of our lives.
Most of you know but if you don't I run my own tax
preparing service on Adams Avenue, San Dieg. I am know as "The Tax
Gal."
Optimism entered Jim and my life eight years ago
when we joined the Kensington Optimist Club of San Diego. I have served as
Kensington's Secretary/Treasurer since 1995. I also belong to the San Diego
Optimist Club where I am the Immediate Past President. I am really
enjoying serving the California South District 41 as your 2002-2003 Zone 5,
Lieutenant Governor. I look forward to a successful year for Optimism.
