To participate a student must be:
Be enrolled in Middle or High School
 | 19 years of age or younger during the current school year. |
| recognized by their school as deaf or hard of hearing and verified as such on the entry form. |
The time limit is no longer than 5 minutes
and not less than 4 minutes.
Both boys and girls compete in the same
contest.
