Your Foundation annually funds Optimist International with money for the Essay, Oratorical, and Communication for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Contests, as well as supporting Respect for Law, Childhood Cancer, the OPTIMIST MAGAZINE, the JOOI Clubs and the other programs for our youth. Thanks for your assistance in making this all happen for the kids.
Special thanks to CalSo's OIF President's Club members who have committed to a $250 or more annual pledge. And thank also to all you who have taken up the "Dime a Day" pledge (about $40/year). Whatever your commitment, it is all much needed and very much appreciated.
We can continue helping kids in San Diego and Imperial Counties well after we're gone. Leaving an endowment is a thoughtful way of investing in a kids future. Maybe your club already has an endowment. If so, does it measure to what an endowment might earn if placed with the OIF. One club recently learned that it earned 13.37% on the endowment it placed with OIF in May of 2005.... ask your bankers if they could match even half of that!
