I have been an Optimist since 1993. I have gone through the offices from
Sergeant at Arms, to Club President, to Lt. Governor of Zone 1, to
Governor- Elect. One of the reasons I am so excited about Optimism is that
a person can move at their own pace to get involved - chair committees, assist
with committees and functions, and hold offices. One of my greatest
thrills is helping the children in our communities.
During my year as Governor my goal is:
"LET'S GET UNITED!"
With everyone working together (with the help of every Optimist Member),
our district will become united (North, South, East, and West).
Communication is the key!
"In order to unite, we must communicate."
I was born in Northern California (San Francisco) on November 29. I
have been in Southern California since 1966 - from Palm Springs to San Diego.
I have worked in the Food and Beverage Industry most of my life. Last year
I inherited a brand new family thanks to Bonnie Styles. I now have three
new children and five new grandchildren.
I look forward to seeing you at Convention 2003 on the Queen Mary when my year
begins!
