Married to Ida Brown for 45 years. We have 4 grown children, 12 grand children
and 1 great grand child, all living in San Diego County.
Former U. S. Marine Corps Sergeant Major, currently First Lieutenant, (Retired).
Retired from the Veterans Administration, Jan 1999, after 23 years, as a
Counseling Psychologist, working with service-connected disabled veterans.
Currently self-employed as a Consultant to Veterans Administration Contractors;
Life Insurance Salesman for Lincoln Benefit Life; and State of California Notary
Public.
Became a member of the Yuma, AZ Sunrise Optimist Club, August 26, 1972, while of
active duty at the Marine Corps Air Station.
Became a member of the Allied Gardens Optimist Club January 1978. Served
on the Club's Board of Directors numerous times and participated in most of the
Club's community activities.
Served as Club President, Optimist Year 1997-1998
CALSO District Optimist of The Year, 1999-2000
Lieutenant Governor Zone 6, Optimist Year, 2000-2001
CALSO District Oratorical Chair, Optimist Years 1998-2003.
