              HOTEL ROOM REGISTRATION 

Reservation Methods

Call Holiday Inn direct @ 800-824-5459 to reserve your room.
Use the group code “CALSO OPTIMISTS” to receive our special convention rate.
Have credit card information ready and register early if you need a handicapped room. 

Dates:     Sept. 17-19, 2010 

Address:    Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites,

Room Rates:  $102 a night includes all taxes - Standard room comes with one king, one double, two doubles or 2 queen beds. Room is equipped with 27" Cable TV, premium movies/ video games, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Free wireless Internet access, desk and ergonomic desk chair.  

Room check in time - 3:00 p.m.

This room price will be guaranteed for 3 days before and 3 days after our convention.
The normal $10 resort fee is being waived and parking is free! The Holiday Inn is offering
to guarantee this room price for 3 years.
Please plan to join us at convention and give us your opinion!

The hotel is within walking distance to Downtown Disney.

The hotel is donating 5% of  the price of your room back to the
Optimist International Foundation.

                     5 p.m. Registration Table at District Convention
 

                       Two Categories

 
1.   Clubs that have 25 members or less
2.   Clubs that have 26 members or more
 

                   Club Bulletin Contest 


1.  Include ANY three issues from the current optimist year
2.  Email or hard copy bulletins are accepted..
 
Criteria:
1.  Standard Items 30%
*  Club name prominently displayed
*  Optimist International logo
*  Date of bulletin issue
*  Meeting time, place, and day
*  Name of Club Officers
*  The Optimist Creed
 
2.  Content   40%
*  Date and program of next meeting
*  Report of last meeting's program
*  Names of guests of last meeting
*  Calendar of upcoming events
*  News of club projects
*  Humor
*  Personal news about members
 
3.  Visual  30%
*  Format is easy to follow
*  Items are clearly separated
*  Stories have headlines
*  Paragraphs are short
*  Type is attractive and easy to read
*  Illustrations or photos used
